Dear Parents and Students:
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
It never ceases to amaze me how quickly it can feel like a past year went by - and 2013 was no exception. As we now move forward to the year that our seniors will graduate, it is a good time to think forward. In the Main Office we are now fully focused on the academic requirements for graduation. Later this month (Jan. 27-30) some of our students will take January Regents. Still others will complete projects and summative assignments in order to complete half-year courses. Our third quarter officially begins January 27. And once February begins Spring will be just around the corner.
For our seniors this time will move fast. And it is at this time that I will continue to encourage you all to stay focused. More than a time to enjoy the spoils of high school, this will be a time to remain focused on the habits that have made you successful in school, to continue to foster the healthy relationships with your peers and with teachers and staff, and to prepare for the rigors of the "next steps" - college and career.
I wish you all the best during this January and throughout the remainder of the school year! Stay focused, and if you need help in any way, please contact the Guidance Office or Main Office.
