Dear Parents and Students,
Happy New Year!
January is a busy month of course completion, Regents exams, our Semi-Formal dance, sports contests and club activity. As we proceed, please be sure to stay connected by checking grades on SchoolTool, emailing teachers, checking teacher and school webpages, and by communicating with your peers and contacts in the school community. As upstate New Yorkers, we know that this is the first month to begin to test our resiliency. And though it has been a light winter for us in terms of snowfall, the cold certainly is our test. Please be sure to focus on getting enough rest, eating right, and being proactive.
One particular note regarding our Semi-Formal dance. This is a dance open for all of our students in 10th - 12th grades. It is for Baker students only - we do not have guest passes available. Attached here and below is the letter that students must complete prior to purchasing their ticket. Our Semi-Formal dance is sponsored and coordinated by Student Council. As always, they promise a safe and fun event.
I have attached the January Regents schedule here and below.
Bulleted here are some upcoming events
Monday, January 10 - Martin Luther King Jr. Day - No School
Friday, January 23 - End of the 2nd Quarter Marking Period
Saturday, January 24 - Semi-Formal dance - 7:00-10:00PM
January 26-30 - Regents Exams
Thank you all for your continued support of our students.
Robert J. Edwards, Principal
