Dear Parents and Students,
November is always a good month for reflection, for giving thanks, and for planning for the winter season. For students, it is also a good time to think about the successes of the first academic quarter and to make adjustments to habits in order to improve achievement and learning during the second quarter.
During this month the administrative office and guidance office are checking student grades, planning parent meetings, holding student meetings, and beginning to think forward into our scheduling process. A few of our important upcoming events are...
PTSA November Meeting - Wednesday, November 19: This will be the meeting that kicks off the fundraising and planning for our Keep The Ball Rolling (KBR) after Ball event.
Baker/Durgee Band Concert, 7pm, November 6.
Marking Period Ends Friday, November 7.
Baker High School Craft Fair: Sponsored by Company B. Baker Gymnasium, 10-4, Saturday, November 8.
Veteran's Day - No School, November 11.
Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, November 27 - Watch our Marching Band perform on television, or live at the parade!
Please be sure to check out any and all of our events happening this month. Winter sports seasons begin on Monday, November 10. Soon, we will be having a flury of basketball, hockey, swimming, and other activity throughout the building.
Lastly, please consider attending this month's PTSA meeting. November is the time to begin the planning process for all of our end of the school year events for our students. If you have the chance to visit their website at http://www.bville.org/teacherpage.cfm?teacher=2082 thank you for doing so.
Thank you all for your continued support of our students.
