- Operating a sewing machine
- Using basic sewing skills to design and create a pillow and other projects as time allows.
Sewing supplies needed for pillow project:
- Pillow fabric: 5/8 yard woven cotton or cotton/polyester blend fabric (ex. broadcloth, flannel, calico) No fur, fleece, knits, or stretchy fabrics please.
- Decorations: At least 1 (9” x 12”) piece of felt in a coordinating color. No adhesive-backing please.
- 1 spool all-purpose thread to match the color of the main fabric (I will supply any other colors needed.)
- $2 for pillow stuffing
Grading Policy
- 50% Projects
- 30% Classwork/ homework
- 20% Quizzes and Final Exam
