9/2012-Presentation on Parent-Teacher Communication

Baker High School has received approval from the New York State Education Department to offer its Business Finance and Business Marketing strands as career and technical education (CTE) programs. The high school may add technical endorsements to the diplomas of its students completing these programs beginning with the graduating class of 2012. Through rigorous standards and requirements, CTE programs prepare students for careers and postsecondary education.

To receive the endorsement, students must complete a minimum of 22 units of credit in an approved career and technical education program, receive passing grades on five required Regents examinations or approved alternatives, and successfully complete a three-part technical assessment that meets industry standards.

“Baker High School’s successful completion of the process for CTE certification was due to the diligence, dedication, and collaboration of teachers Joseph Bisignano, Gary Pluff, Elaine Ryan, Jennifer Sawyer, and Damon Villnave, as well as Principal Joseph DeBarbieri and Assistant Principal Mary Reichert,” noted Superintendent Jeanne Dangle.

The Baldwinsville Central School District is committed to providing every student with educational experiences and opportunities that will enable them to reach their full potential.
