Welcome to the 2010 - 2011 school year!!

- My goal this school year is to continue building our library program towards becoming a learner centered workplace for students to build 21st century skills. One strategy will be two (fall & spring) specialized six week after-school programs exclusively for a small cohort of our 4th & 5th graders where we investigate 21st century technology using problem based learning. Our first "season" will begin in the Fall of 2010 and our theme will be centered around building a custom PC.
- We've moved to a genre-based classification schema in our fiction section. To find out what that looks like, click here.
- Each student will be allowed to take out 2 books per library visit (every four school days.) If a book is lost or damaged, please call the McNamara Library at 638-6130 ext. 8710 or email: jashworth@bville.org or mcnamaralibrary@bville.org.
- The library is constantly adding materials to our collection. If you know of a great book that our library MUST HAVE, please add a sticky note to our suggestion wall.
McNamara's 5th Grade Workers:

News from Mr. Ashworth
- We're working hard in the library in 2009-2010. Students in Grades 1-5 will be allowed to take out two (2) books per library visit. Books will be due back to the library in four school days.
