Boys Varsity Indoor Track Wins Title
Congratulations to the boys varsity indoor track team! The team won the the Section III Class AA championship on February 9.
 

Wrestlers Win Titles - Advance to State Championships
Two Baldwinsville wrestlers were crowned champs in their weight classes at the Section III Division 1 championship meet held at the SRC arena on February 11. Jeremy Pond won the title at 138 pounds, and Michael Spicer won the title at 285 pounds. Spicer was also awarded the Hawke Pettinelli Scholarship presented by the Syracuse Wrestling Officials Association. Pond and Spicer advance to the state championships scheduled for February 24 & 25 in Albany. Joining them is Thor Sutphen, who was given an at-large bid to the tournment. GO BEES!!!
 

Baker Students Place at SkillsUSA
Three Baker High School students enrolled in OCM BOCES programs received awards in the Regional SkillsUSA competition held in Syracuse on February 10. Michael Lagana, a senior, won first place in Culinary Arts. Alexis Townsend, a junior, received second place in Medical Math, and junior Isabellah Hightower won second place in Prepared Speech. At the competition hundreds of area Career and Technical Education students competed in contests that included performance and written tests.   SkillsUSA is a national organization that connects high school and college students with employers of technical, skilled and service occupations.
