Baker Teacher is a State Finalist
Congratulations to Lynda Barry! Barry, a teacher at Baker High School, has been named a New York State finalist for the 2017 Presidential Awards for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching (PAEMST).
The program is sponsored by the National Science Foundation. Each year the President of the United States recognizes outstanding teachers in mathematics and science from across the nation. State finalists move on to the national level of the program. National award winners will be announced in 2018.
Coffee & Conversation with the Superintendent of Schools

To increase communications with the community, Superintendent Matthew J. McDonald is beginning a series of monthly meetings for all community members to attend to speak with him and district administrators about a variety of topics, including curriculum and instruction, special education, the budget, and school law. Each meeting will be devoted to a specific topic or district department, and a district administrator will join the superintendent to discuss his/her department and to answer any questions you have on that topic.

This new series, “Coffee & Conversation with the Superintendent of Schools,” will be an informal yet respectful forum each month for community members to learn more about District programs and to ask questions as well as to provide the superintendent with your feedback.

All meetings will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in Meeting Room 2 at the Baldwinsville Public Library. The first meeting is Wednesday, September 27. For the entire schedule of dates, topics to be discussed, and guest speakers, please read HERE.
