Elden Elementary Students Place High in Math Competition



On January 20, a group of students from Elden Elementary School participated in the Perennial Math Competition hosted at Jordan-Elbridge High School. The Perennial Math program was designed to offer students more opportunities to demonstrate their mathematical skills and to help teachers to develop their students’ skills. The competition involved two tests – a team test and an individual test.
 
Congratulations to the following individual winners:
 
  • Chloe Deshaies – 2nd place, 4th grade individual competition
  • Evan Couture – 3rd place, 5th grade individual competition
  • Mitchell Burlingame – 2nd place, 5th grade individual competition
 
Congratulations to the following team winners:
 
  • 5th graders Mitchell Burlingame, Justin Diep, Evan Couture and Nikolas Sergeev – 2nd place
  • 4th graders Abigail Roth, Varvara Yumagulova, Aidan Griffin, Seren Mara-Lutz and Chloe Deshaies – 2nd place
 
These individuals and team winners have qualified for the national competition that will be held online in May.
