District Named A Best Community for Music Ed - 9th Consecutive Year!
The NAMM Foundation has recognized the Baldwinsville Central School District for its outstanding commitment to music education with a Best Communities for Music Education (BCME) designation. This is the ninth consecutive year that the district has received the designation. The district joins 583 school districts across the country receiving the prestigious distinction in 2018. YOU'RE INVITED - May 1, 2018 - Mini-Mental Health Conference 
As part of its ongoing efforts to promote mental wellness, the district's Mental Wellness committee has planned a free mini-mental health conference for the community for May 1.

Join author Jeff Zentner on May 1 at 6:00 pm in the Baker High School auditorium for a discussion of his debut novel, THE SERPENT KING, and the many mental health issues surrounding the text. 

Following the keynote, two breakout sessions will be held , 7 - 7:30 p.m. and 7:45 - 8:15 p.m. The workshops will address how to use literature to spark challenging dialogue with students at all grade levels, K-12. They also will address other important mental health issues, such as Teen Dating Violence and Consent, Body Image, and Social Media and Self-Esteem, to name a few.

Everyone is welcome to attend. Pre-registration for this event is strongly encouraged. Free babysitting and light refreshments will be provided.
