Baker Students Selected for Puerto Rican/Hispanic Youth Leadership Institute

Four Baker High School students have been selected as participants for the 2019 Angelo Del Toro Puerto Rican/Hispanic Youth Leadership Institute (PR/HYLI) – Syracuse/CNY Delegation. (L to r) Cooper Pyle, Kimberly Rivera Cotto, Iham Rodriguez, and Jose Perez-Marino will join other Central New York students in the CNY Delegation. Selection as a participant is an indication of a student’s leadership potential and future achievement. To read more, click HERE.

Board of Education Update

November 19, 2018
The Board honored NYS Senator John DeFrancisco with the Board of Education Spotlight to thank him for his dedication and commitment to public education. The Board presented the Senator with two Adirondack chairs that were made by Baker students.

Elden and Van Buren elementary schools presented their strategic plans to the Board.

Two trip requests were presented to the Board for first readings, one for the girls varsity basketball team and one for the boys varsity baseball team.

The Board approved the Baldwinsville Central School District Policies-Series 6000-Reviewed/Revised.  The Board also passed a resolution requiring a Baldwinsville Central School District employee to submit to a medical examination by school medical inspector(s).

The Board approved the Disposal of Surplus Instructional Materials from Durgee Jr. High School, Elden, McNamara, Reynolds and Van Buren elementary schools.

The Board also approved a Memorandum of Agreement between the Baldwinsville Central School District  and the Baldwinsville Educational Support Professionals Association.


Twenty-eight Students Will Represent B'ville in Spelling Bee

Each Baldwinsville elementary school, along with Ray Middle School and Durgee Junior High School, recently held their school spelling bees to select qualifiers for the Post-Standard/Syracuse.com/WCNY Regional Spelling Bee written test, which will be given in January.
