Baker Culture Festival is a Success!

On February 28, Baker High School hosted its first culture festival. Students, parents and teachers were involved with the festival, which featured the foods, traditions, music and clothing of over 20 different cultures represented at the high school. Countries represented included Canada, Turkey, Ireland, Guatemala, and Korea.

The event was the idea of junior Aidan Priest. He wanted to develop an event at which Baker’s students and staff members could share unique aspects of their culture that they do not normally share at school and demonstrate the diversity of cultures in the school district.
