B'ville Pitcher Invited to MLB Pipeline League

Baldwinsville pitcher Jason Savacool has accepted an invitation to participate in the inaugural Major League Baseball Prospect Development Pipeline (MLB PDP) League this spring. Savacool is one of 80 top players from the draft-eligible 2020 class around the country to be invited, and he is one of only two players invited from New York. READ MORE
 

McNamara Student Wins Poetry Contest

Ethan Millard, a fifth-grader at McNamara Elementary School, is the 1st Place winner in the grade 4/5 category of the CNY American Chemistry Society poetry contest. He has moved on to the national level of the competition.

Students Honored with Annual Athletic Awards

The Athletic Department held its annual awards night on June 6, 2019, to honor the district's 2018-2019 student-athletes. For a complete listing of the awards and the recipients, click HERE.

Students Awarded for Excellence in Art

On June 7, three Baker High School seniors were presented with the Deborah Stebbins Award for Excellence in the Arts. The following students each received a $400 award: Hope Zucco, drawing & painting; Abby Manning, photography; and Angel Cooper, ceramics.
 

Students were selected by a panel of artists who reviewed student artwork on display at Baker High School’s Senior Art Showcase held in May. The award will assist these students in furthering their growth and development as artists, whether as a vocation or an avocation.

Schedule for Last Week of School

Pending no additional changes to the school calendar, the schedule for the last week of school (week of June 24, 2019) for students will be as follows:

*Durgee and Baker students will follow the Regents schedule for the week of June 24, 2019.

*Monday, June 24 - Full day for Ray and elementary schools.

*Tuesday, June 25 - Half day for K-7. Ray will dismiss at 10:00 a.m. and the elementary schools will dismiss at 11:10 a.m. This is the last day of school for all students.
