Parents vs. staff: McNamara hosts successful ‘Books & Basketball’ event

McNamara Elementary families packed the school’s gymnasium on Thursday, Nov. 7, for the Books & Basketball event.

The evening started with a book fair and ELA activities, and ended with a basketball game between McNamara parents and McNamara staff members.
The game was full of healthy competition, loud cheers and lots of laughs.

A halftime show was held featuring McNamara staff as cheerleaders. C.W. Baker High School Varsity Cheerleaders added some high-flying stunts to enhance the show.

The parents won the game with a final score of 38 to 24.
