Gov. Cuomo extends school closure

Dear Parents & Guardians,

As you may have learned today, New York State Governor Andrew Cuomo extended school closures across the state until April 29, 2020. Gov. Cuomo has made this extension to continue social distancing and help slow the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.  Cuomo also announced greater fines and enforcement by local agencies for any person found violating social distancing orders.  As a reminder, this includes district facilities (i.e., all playgrounds, grass fields, tennis courts, running track and turf field).

During this time, our teachers and staff will continue to provide instruction for at-home learning, and our food service department will continue to provide meals for all students in our district.

According to Board of Regents Chancellor Betty Rosa, we were informed the New York State Regents examinations soon will be cancelled. The official announcement and details will be made on Tuesday (April 7, 2020), Rosa said at today’s Board of Regents Meeting.

We know that our community is eager to get back to school and back to normalcy, but this is a time we need to continue to listen to our local and state leaders -- Stay home and stay healthy!

As always, we are committed to providing additional updates on a regular basis as circumstances warrant. Please check your email and our website, www.bville.org, for updates, links, guidance and more.
