Governor: Distance learning will continue for the rest of the school year

Dear Parents & Guardians,

Governor Andrew Cuomo announced today, May 1, 2020, that schools across the state will finish the remainder of the 2019-2020 academic year through distance learning.

We know this is disappointing news to our students who miss their schools, teachers and classmates. We miss them as well! We also recognize that this is not the outcome that the Class of 2020 was hoping to hear, but we must move forward.

The good news is we can move forward together. Now that we know the Governor’s decision, our District’s leadership team can finalize plans for the end of the school year. There will be more to come on that – stay tuned!

Our Continuity of Learning, Feeding, and Childcare Plans are posted on our District website. The District has updated our plans per the New York State Education Department requirements and will continue to provide remote learning during the closure period. Our Food Service Department will also continue to provide meals for all students.

The last day of remote learning will be communicated as soon as it is determined following guidance from the New York State Education Department.
We are committed to providing additional updates on a regular basis as circumstances warrant. Please check your email and our website, www.bville.org, for updates, links, guidance and more.

Please feel free to contact us with any questions you may have.
