McNamara kicks off PARP and school library month celebrations

In April, McNamara Elementary will kick off its PARP (Principal as a Reading Partner) and School Library Month celebrations. The goal is to share the love of books, reading, literacy, and libraries with students and the school community. 

There will be returning and new events and surprises planned for students. More information about these events will go home after spring break.
  • Each student (in-person and remote) will receive a book generously donated by the McNamara PTA. Reveals will be announced in April.
  • Bookmark design contest to celebrate School Library Month.
  • Literacy BINGO board to share and promote a love of reading. Students who turn in their completed BINGO board will receive a reading-related prize from Principal Homeyer.  
  • D.E.A.R. (Drop Everything And Read) celebrations on April 12 and April 14 for students
  • Guest readers for the books.
