Kindergarten and UPK Registration information for 2022-23 school year

Kindergarten open registration for the 2022–2023 school year will take place at the elementary schools in the Baldwinsville Central School District on Thursday, March 17 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. and Friday, March 18 from 1 to 3 p.m. Families currently in the district student database will receive an informational email by the end of January.

In order to be eligible for kindergarten in September, a child must turn five years of age before or on December 1, 2022. The district is unable to honor requests to make exceptions for students who “just miss” the cutoff date.

UPK applications for the 2022-2023 school year will be accepted at the elementary schools on Thursday, March 17 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. and Friday, March 18 from 1 to 3 p.m. as well.

In order to be eligible for UPK in September, a child must turn four years of age before or on December 1, 2022. (*Please note, per NYS regulations, a child is not eligible for UPK if they turn five years old before December 1, 2022). Please understand that spaces are limited and enrollment will be based on the number of spots available. If we receive more applications than spots available, we will enroll based on a lottery system.

To register for either program, a parent or guardian must provide the district with all of the following:
  • Completed online pre-registration;
  • Proof of residency in the form of a lease or mortgage statement, a school tax bill or a utility bill for your residence;
  • Child’s original birth certificate as proof of age;
  • Completed health appraisal with immunization record form signed by a physician or current immunization record and the date of scheduled exam with the physician, to be completed after September 1, 2021;
  • A dental health exam form, signed by a dentist, should be submitted to the school nurse by the first day of school.

In addition, the district requires copies of custody documents to be on file for students whose parents share legal custody and for students that have a parent who has sole legal custody.

Anyone who has an eligible child and does not receive information by March 1 should call the District Registrar at 638-6044 x1 to request information. You can find additional information regarding registration on the district website at www.bville.org.

Before open registration in March, the district requests that parents of children who will be eligible for kindergarten participate in the district’s online pre-registration by January 28, 2022. This is the beginning of kindergarten registration to provide the district with the necessary information to establish a mailing list for sending out follow up registration information to parents.

The registration is located on the district’s website at www.bville.org. This is the pre-registration link https://bville.schooltool.cnyric.org/schooltoolweb/onlinepreregistration/

You will find directions for filling out the registration on this page under registration. If you do not have access to a computer or the Internet, please call the Registration Office at 638-6044 x1 for further instructions.
