NON-INSTRUCTION VACANCIES:

Food Service Helper:
 
Participate in the preparation and serving of food in a school setting.  Must have the ability to effectively communicate with school staff, administrators and children of all ages, and have the ability to work in any of the District’s eight school buildings on an as needed basis. Must be able to lift 50 pounds multiple times during a work shift. Complete on-line application via OLAS information above.


Substitute Job Coach:  Work as liaison between school district and student's employer.  Assist students with worksite task analysis.  Train students in proper employee behavior and inter-personal interactions. Assist in training students to perform specific tasks at worksite.  Complete necessary paperwork as assigned.  Reinforce or identify weaknesses in student(s) as employees related to employment skills.  Complete on-line application via OLAS information above.                                             

Continuous Recruitment: 

Substitute School Bus Driver:
Free, comprehensive training is provided to obtain CDL and qualify for employment .  Applicants must be at least 21 years of age and possess a clean, valid driver’s license.  CDL preferred, but not required.  Applicants must be available to work 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.  in order to be considered.  Complete on-line application via OLAS information above.

Substitute School Bus Attendant:
Free, comprehensive training is provided to qualify for employment .Supervise and assist in the safety of school aged children on bus trips to and from
school.  Previous experience working with school aged children preferred, but not required.  Applicants must be available to work 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. in order to be considered.  Free, comprehensive training is provided to qualify for employment. 

Substitute Food Service Helper I:
Participate in the preparation and serving of food in a school setting.  Must have the ability to effectively communicate with school staff, administrators and children of all ages, and have the ability to work in any of the District’s eight school buildings on an as needed basis. Must be able to lift 50 pounds multiple times during a work shift. 


Substitute Custodial Worker:
Performs routine manual work involving building cleaning and general labor tasks. Must have the ability to work independently with little supervision, excellent attention to detail, good interpersonal skills, and have the ability to lift 50 pounds. Does related work as required.  Must have the ability to work in all District building's. Complete on-line application via OLAS information above.

Substitute School Nurse:

Must enjoy working with children of all ages and be available to work in any of the District’s eight school buildings on an as needed basis.  Candidates must meet all qualifications with Onondaga County, which includes holding a valid Registered Nurse license and hold or obtain CPR/AED certification.

Substitute Staff and Home Instructors -
