Two Ray Middle School students have earned the right to compete in the final oral round of the Syracuse.com | Post-Standard Spelling Bee.

Congratulations to Kiarash Hosseini, 6th grade, and Aiden Bush, 7th grade. The students competed in the online regional round to qualify for the local final round. They are among a prestigious group of only 20 finalists! Go Bees!

The students will compete in the Syracuse.com | Post-Standard regional spelling bee March 22 at the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University. The spelling bee will be recorded and shown on April 1 on Syracuse.com’s YouTube channel.

The winner of that competition will represent Central New York in the Scripps National Spelling Bee. The national competition will be held May 25 through May 31 at the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center, National Harbor, Maryland.
