Durgee Junior High School Principal T.J. Fraher recently announced to Durgee families that he will retire at the end of the school year. Read his message below. His retirement was approved by the Board of Education earlier this school year. Fraher has served the Baldwinsville Central School District for 14 years and has led Durgee as principal since the 2019–2020 school year.
We congratulate Principal Fraher on his upcoming retirement and thank him for his years of leadership and dedication to the district. We wish him all the best in this next chapter.

Dear Durgee JHS Families,
I am writing to share that I have made the decision to retire from my position as Principal of Durgee Junior High School. My retirement will be effective June 30, 2026.
This decision comes with mixed emotions. Serving the students, staff, and families of the Durgee community has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my career. I feel incredibly fortunate to have worked alongside such dedicated educators, supportive families, and—most importantly—our outstanding students.
Durgee is a truly special place, and I am proud of all that we have accomplished together. Each day I have had the privilege of watching our students grow academically, socially, and personally, and it has been an honor to be part of their journey.
Over the coming months, the district will begin the process of identifying the next principal of Durgee Junior High School. I am confident that the strong traditions, commitment to excellence, and caring environment that define our school will continue well into the future. I will work closely with district leadership to support a smooth and successful transition.
While there is still time left before my retirement, I look forward to finishing the school year strong and continuing to support our students, staff, and families.
Thank you for your continued support of Durgee Junior High School. It has truly been an honor to serve this community.
Go BEES!!!
Proud To Be Your Principal,
T.J. Fraher
