Announcements for Friday, June 5, 2026

Posted Date: 06/05/26 (02:13 PM)

Dear Parents, Guardians, and Staff,

Happy first Friday of June!

As we begin to wind down another school year, it is hard to believe that graduation is only two weeks away. This time of year always seems to arrive quickly and with it comes an opportunity to reflect on the accomplishments, growth and resilience of our students and staff.

Before highlighting some of the celebrations taking place across our district, I would like to address the secure lockouts that occurred at two of our elementary schools this week. First and foremost, I want to thank our families for their patience and understanding during these situations. When an incident occurs, our goal is to communicate as quickly and accurately as possible while ensuring that we are sharing verified information. We understand that these situations can be concerning, and we appreciate the trust you place in us to care for your children each day.

I would also like to thank our school staff, district administrators and our local law enforcement for their swift response and support. In both incidents, arrests were made, and at no time was the safety of our students or staff compromised. Please know that the safety and well-being of our school community remains our highest priority. We will continue to do everything in our power to maintain safe and secure learning environments for all.

June is one of the busiest and most exciting months of the school year. As we close out the academic year, we have the privilege of celebrating the many achievements of our students. From academic honors and athletic accomplishments to artistic performances and graduation milestones, this is a season filled with pride and recognition. Several of those celebrations took place this week, and you can read more about them below.

Thank you for your continued support of our students, staff and schools. I look forward to celebrating the many successes that are still to come in the days ahead

I have a few announcements to share with you today:
