Activities outside of school: Church Volunteer, Chinese AP course for 3 years, El Salvador Missions trip and published article in local paper

College you plan to attend and major: Washington and Lee University for Pre-Law/Political Science

Career plans: Become a lawyer by studying Constitutional Law.

How has Baldwinsville prepared you for your future: Baldwinsville has provided a safe educational environment that allows me to pursue interests and goals inside the classroom as well as within the surrounding community.  


Molly Scherfling

Class Rank: 2

Honors: Post-Standard Syracuse Best and Brightest Award, National Merit Scholarship Commendation, College Board National Recognition, AP Scholar and National Honor Society

School activities: Key Club President, Crew, Student Advisory Council, Orchestra and Rotary Interact Club

Activities outside of school: Figure Skating, Summer Camp Counselor and Guitar/Piano 

College you plan to attend and major: Boston College for political science

Career plans: I hope to have a career that allows me to help people and travel to new places.

How has Baldwinsville prepared you for your future: Baldwinsville has prepared me for my future by challenging me academically, allowing me the opportunity to develop my leadership skills, and giving me the confidence to pursue my goals.

College you plan to attend: Binghamton University for mechanical engineering
Career plans: My career plan is to work as a mechanical engineer.
How has Baldwinsville prepared you for your future: Baldwinsville has given me a supportive community of friends and teachers who constantly support me and push me to be the best version of myself.


Amelia Miller

College you plan to attend and major: SUNY Geneseo for accounting 

Career plans: I plan to pursue a career in accounting and ultimately earn my CPA license. 

How has Baldwinsville prepared you for your future: Baldwinsville has prepared me for my future by offering a wide variety of classes that allowed me to explore different fields. Having access to courses for almost any career path helped me identify the professional direction I want to pursue.

Career plans: I would like to become a doctor one day.

How has Baldwinsville prepared you for your future: Baldwinsville has provided me with an exceptional school environment and a dedicated teaching staff who continually push me to do my best. The vast amount of academic as well as athletic opportunities available to students has given me the chance to attend an outstanding college, and I am truly grateful for their support. Go Bees!

How has B’ville prepared you for your future: Baldwinsville has prepared me for the future by providing interesting and challenging coursework. I was lucky to have thoughtful teachers and the opportunity to take part in an exceptional music program.

College you plan to attend and major: University of Central Florida for Biomedical sciences on pre dental track 

Career plans: Become a dentist and eventually start up dental practices.

How has B’ville prepared you for your future: Baldwinsville has prepared me by giving me a strong academic foundation while teaching me discipline, leadership, and time management through balancing academics, athletics, and extracurriculars.

College you plan to attend and major: Binghamton University to major in Biology on a pre-med track. 

Career plans: I want to contribute to work that improves people's everyday lives and gives me the opportunity to learn from and connect with people from different cultures.

How has Baldwinsville prepared you for your future:  Baldwinsville has prepared me for my future by giving me the support I need in school through teachers and academic resources, while also giving me sports experiences that have helped me build friendships.

College you plan to attend and major: SUNY Fredonia for Adolescent Math Education

Career plans: I plan to become a high school math teacher and help students build confidence in math.

How has Baldwinsville prepared you for your future: Baldwinsville has allowed me to pursue academics, music, athletics, and service at a high level while building discipline, teamwork, and a strong sense of community.


Brendan DeCesare

Career plans:  I plan to become a lawyer

How has Baldwinsville prepared you for your future: Baldwinsville has prepared me for my future by giving me the opportunity to have knowledge in a diverse amount of subjects.

College you plan to attend and major: Binghamton University; Biology for Pre-Dental

Career plans: I would like to pursue a career in the dental, specifically in the orthodontic field.

How has Baldwinsville prepared you for your future: Baldwinsville has prepared me for my future by providing me with unique opportunities to challenge myself academically, in addition to the clubs and resources to get involved with our community.
