Mr. Jeffrey Marier, President

Since 2011, Jeff has served in various roles including School Board Vice President and as a member of the following district committees: Technology, Facilities, Policy, Communications and Health Insurance.  He is a strong advocate for Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) education and remains focused on long range planning to ensure the Baldwinsville Central School District will remain a high performing school district well into the future.
 
Jeff lives in Baldwinsville with his wife, Susan, and his two children (Natalie and Nathan) who both currently attend the Baldwinsville Central School District. He received his M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Syracuse University and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Toledo (OH). He is currently an Engineering Manager at Anaren Microwave in East Syracuse and is also a US Air Force Persian Gulf veteran, an Eagle Scout and a member of the Leadership Greater Syracuse Class of 2009.

Christy Bond Ms. Christina Pavetto Bond, Vice-President

Christy Pavetto Bond has worked in the field of education and business for the past 27 years and is currently the director of Population Health and Quality Improvement at St. Joseph’s Health. A fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives, Christy has authored numerous publications including a text designed to educate healthcare professionals in transitional care. Christy’s baccalaureate degree in business administration and master’s degree in education allow her to understand both the core work and business of a school district.
 
During her tenure on the Board of Education, Christy has served on the strategic planning, communications and insurance committees.  She has enjoyed being one of the board representatives to Baker High School. In addition, Christy has led or participated on several non-profit boards. Christy was a member of the Make-A-Wish Foundation board of directors for seven years and served as board chair, board secretary, and chair of the human resources committee. She is a 1999 graduate of Leadership Greater Syracuse and served on that board as well, co-chairing the youth leadership program. 
 
Christy’s older son graduated from Ithaca College’s Park School of Communications and her younger son attends Baker High School.

 
Mrs. Sally Dayger

A resident of Baldwinsville since 1965, Sally holds a BS in elementary education from SUNY Oswego and has certification in mathematics as well as administration and supervision. She taught at Van Buren Elementary School, then math at Durgee Junior High School and Ray Middle School for 33 years for a total of 35 years of teaching. She has served the district in administration capacities as assistant principal at Ray Middle School and Baker High School and summer school principal for 13 years. Upon retirement from Baldwinsville, she continued teaching and taught math at SUNY Oswego where she also supervised student teachers.
 
Sally has served the Baldwinsville community in diverse ways. She is currently coordinator of the Baldwinsville Community Food Pantry and a member of the PAC-B Board of Directors. She has served as chair of the Zoning Board of Appeals for the Village of Baldwinsville, a trustee for her church, as treasurer and board member of McHarrie’s Legacy, and as past president of the Women’s Garden Club. She has also acted as a costume designer for Baker High School productions and for local theatre companies.

During her tenure on the Board of Education, Sally has served on the Strategic Planning, Policy, Insurance, Wellness, and Mental Health Committees.

Sally continues her professional involvement with education working for OCM-BOCES as a superintendent hearing officer for other school districts and providing private tutoring.

Jim Goulet

Jim Goulet is a lifetime resident of the Village of Baldwinsville and a 1968 graduate of Baker High School. He holds a BS in Resources Management from SUNY-ESF and teaching certification through SUNY Oswego. Jim was a science teacher in Baldwinsville for 32 years. He also coached the girls' varsity cross country, indoor track and spring track teams for 97 seasons and now serves as a volunteer coach for the modified girls’ track team. Jim served as league chair for cross country, indoor track and spring track and was the Section III chair for indoor track. He served as the head coach for SUNY-ESF’s cross country program for three years and was the head women's coach for the Central Region of the Empire State Games for 27 years.
Jim was very involved in aquatics, having taught swimming lessons and lifesaving courses in Baldwinsville for many years for both the village and the community council. He worked as a lifeguard for the village and for Onondaga County Parks.

He served on the SUNY-ESF Alumni Board of Directors, the Village Zoning Board of Appeals, the OCC arena and Athletic Center Task Force and is a 12-year member of the Friends of Beaver Lake Board of Directors.

He is now serving his 3rd term on the Board of Education.


Jim has been married to his wife, Jean, for 43 years. Their two sons, Eric and Dan, are Baker graduates.

     
Victor Jenkins

Victor Jenkins has served on the Baldwinsville Board of Education for ten years. He has been a resident of the community since 1980 and has two daughters who attended the Baldwinsville schools. Victor currently works in the wealth management and investment area of Morgan Stanley. His previous experience is with Cigna Financial Advisors and as a controller for Xerox Corporation. Victor has extensive management and financial experience and holds several professional designations. He previously served as president and vice president of the Board. His committee experience includes audit, insurance, facilities, and policy committees. Victor is active in the community and serves as the co-moderator of the deacons for his church. Previous community activities include the YMCA Fundraising Committee, Baldwinsville Community Scholarship Foundation, and president of the Estate Planning Council of CNY. Victor’s philosophy is to always put the kids first and to see that the Baldwinsville schools are providing every possible opportunity for the children to be successful.

Mrs. Jennifer Patruno

Jennifer Patruno has lived in Baldwinsville since 2011 with her husband, David, and their sons, Jonathan and Christopher, who both attend the Baldwinsville Central School District.
 
Jen earned a B.S. in Health and Sports Science from Wake Forest University, a B.S. in Secondary Education Science in Biology from Oneonta State, and an M.S. in Health Education from Cortland State. She is a NYS certified teacher in Biology, Chemistry, General Science and Health. She taught 7th grade Life Science and high school Chemistry. 
 
Jen is the founder and director of Aim High Running Camp which focuses on team building, goal setting and leadership skills. She develops the safety plan, ensures NYS Department of Health regulations are followed, and manages 58 employees. She also manages the database marketing for Patruno Electric, Inc.    
 
Before being elected to the Board in May 2017 she was very involved with advocating in the area of curriculum. Her efforts and submitted reports resulted in the District adding NYS mandated math and science curriculum back into our classrooms. She is an advocate for educational programs that are challenging, diverse and appropriate for all students so they can reach their full potential.
 
Jen has volunteered for two District budget committees, sat on a science ad hoc committee, assisted with the Van Buren Elementary running club, coached her son’s basketball team in the Upward program, and is active in the Van Buren PTA. 

     
Joan Reeves Ms. Joan Reeves

Joan Reeves has been a member of the Board of Education since 1981. She served as Vice President for 12 years and as President for 6 years. She serves on the OCM BOCES Board of Education, is a member of the Board of Directors of the Central New York School Boards Association, a member of the Board of Directors of the Onondaga Madison School Boards Association, and is a past member of the St. Mary’s Parish Council. She is a member of the Board of Directors for Baldwinsville Little League and the Diane Reeves Memorial Park Community Committee.  In 2015, Joan was awarded the Everett R. Dyer Award for Distinguished Service from the New York State School Boards Association. This is the association's highest honor, presented annually to a current or former school board member in recognition of extraordinary service to public education and children.
While on the Board she has served on numerous committees including but not limited to Long Range Planning, Facilities, Policy, Contract, Insurance, Transportation, Audit, Sustainability, Legislative, Negotiations, BCEPT, Stragetic Planning, Mental Health and Intermunicipal. Joan is a graduate of Baldwinsville Schools as are her eight siblings and parents, Cecil and Dorothy Reeves. She attended SUNY Oneonta and Oswego majoring in Political Science and was formerly employed as an Assistant Manager for Reeves Farms and by Plainville Farms in charge of purchasing, regulatory compliance and product development. She raised three children, all who are products of Baldwinsville Schools, and has six grandchildren.

Mr. Steve Schweitzer

Steven Schweitzer has been a resident of Baldwinsville since 1993 and a member of the Board of Education since 2010. He currently serves on the Facilities Committee and Insurance Committee. Steve earned a bachelor’s degree in engineering from the SUNY Maritime College and a Master of Science degree in mechanical engineering from the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He is a licensed professional engineer and a senior project management engineer working in the field of energy efficiency and renewable energy technology. Steve and his wife, Kim, have two children, a daughter, Krystina, who graduated from Baker High School in 2007 and a son, Paul, who graduated from Baker High School in 2010. Steve also serves the community as a captain with the Moyers Corners Fire Department.

Matthew Yager

Matthew Yager has been engaged professionally in the higher education community for the past 20 years. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial Training and Development from SUNY Oswego and a Master of Arts Degree in Student Affairs Administration from Michigan State University. He has worked with undergraduate students in an advising and counseling capacity at Michigan State University, The University of North Carolina Chapel Hill and Syracuse University. He is currently working at SU in the David B. Falk College of Sport and Human Dynamics. As an academic counselor he assists students with overall curriculum and career planning as well as helping them resolve other educational, social and emotional concerns.

From 2005 to 2009 Matt took a leave from his career to spend time with his children as a stay-at-home dad and worked part-time as a developer and webmaster for Lenovo's worldwide HR division. Matt and his wife, Dena, have been Baldwinsville residents since 2006 with their two children, who are both students in Baldwinsville schools.


Mr. Julian Spencer, Ex-Officio Student Member

Julian is a senior at Baker High School. He actively participates in Baker's music program, from joining chamber choir to involving himself in the school musicals. During his junior year, Julian joined student council as Vice President and enjoyed his role there. In his senior year he is serving as Co-President. Julian was inducted in the National Honor Society in the spring of 2017 and is very goal oriented. Outside of school, Julian takes piano and voice lessons and participates in community theatre.
