Ray Students Attend Cornell STEM Program Ray Students Attend Cornell STEM Program: In April, Ray Middle School 7th grade girls attended Cornell University’s “Expanding Your Horizons” program, participating in a variety of workshops that featured hands-on activities in math and science for females in 7th to 9th grade. The goal of this annual  program is to introduce females to career opportunities in math, science, and engineering. Techponics Club's First Harvest. Techponics Club's First Harvest.: The Ray Middle School Techponics Club had its first harvest this school year. With the club’s aquaponics system, students grew 50 kale plants and 30 basil plants. They harvested them by snipping off the leaves to fill containers and then they sold them to students and staff members. The hydroponic system can grow 60 plants at a time, but not all of them were ready for harvest. more >>
