Students Give Back with FACS Projects: Ray Middle School students have been busy in their Family and Consumer Sciences classes with projects to learn new skills, but also to help out the community.   Sixth-graders recently had a lesson in sewing that was also a lesson in philanthropy. The students learned how to make a hygiene product holder out of a washcloth. They made 50 holders that they then filled with products such as shampoo, soap and toothpaste. Ray Middle School Assessment Information: As reported in the “The Hive”, we will be using the Computer Based Test (CBT) testing platform for administering NYS Assessments in ELA and Math this year at Ray Middle School for 6 th  and 7 th  grade students.  All testing will occur on the dates designated below between the hours of 7:40 am and 10:40 am, with students testing by teams in two separate sessions.  Please Note:  Students not testing will follow their normal schedule. ... more >>
Meningitis Vaccination Required for Grades 7, 8 & 12 for 2017-18: All NYS students entering 7th, 8th and 12th grade in September 2017 must have the meningococcal vaccine.  Without it they can't start school. You can find more information on the vaccine at this link: Meningitis Vaccine more >>
Schedule for NYS Assessments, Grades 3-8: The New York State Education Department is transitioning its annual ELA and math assessments for grades 3-8 from paper-based testing to computer-based testing. This spring, Baldwinsville third-graders in all buildings and students in grades 6-8 will take the ELA and math assessments using the computer. Ray to Durgee Parent Information Iformation: To ensure a smooth transition and clear understanding of academic programming at the junior high level, Ray to Durgee Parent Information Nights were held on Tuesday, March 21 & Thursday, March 23.  Topics for both sessions included course requirements, course selection options, credit bearing courses, regents exams, and high school transcripts. Ray Middle School Pickup Procedure
Regular Dismissal pick-up: Students being picked-up by parents at regular dismissal at 2:18pm will be dismissed with the first wave of bussers to alleviate traffic congestion as busses leave campus. Parents should wait for their students in the parking lot at the side of the building. 

Early Dismissal pick-up: Parents picking up students any time before regular dismissal must come into the building to sign their student out at the attendance desk.
