Important Information on Cases of Whooping Cough in the District: It has come to the attention of the District that there have been a few cases of pertussis, also known as whooping cough, in the District.  To read the communication to parents that Superintendent Matthew McDonald is sending out today, May 15, 2017 in a School Messenger communication, please click HERE . Baldwinsville Educators Named Teachers of Excellence: State Senator John DeFrancisco has announced the names of 30 educators who have been named New York State Senate Teachers of Excellence for going above and beyond to educate, mentor and inspire their students. Van Buren Lead Testing of Water: September 2016 Lead Testing of Water from Sink Faucets - Van Buren Elementary   The District tested its school buildings for lead in the schools’ handwashing sinks in September 2016. On January 4, the District received the results of the testing at Van Buren Elementary School, where 16 sinks tested positive for elevated levels of lead.
