District to Launch Electronic Flyer Distribution January 2, 2018: The Baldwinsville Central School District is committed to educational excellence and ensuring that parents stay informed about important activities and events in the local area that enhance their child’s life. Van Buren Students are Top Savers: Congratulations to Van Buren Elementary School! The school has been recognized by the Edge Federal Credit Union for its commitment to saving money through the credit union’s Cub Savers Program for students. In October the credit union held a contest for 10 schools that participate in the savings program and Van Buren had the most deposits for the month. Van Buren Elementary Awarded STEM Grant: Congratulations to Van Buren Elementary School, and its PTA, for being awarded a STEM + Families Local Science Grant through the National PTA. The grant is sponsored by Bayer. Van Buren PTA members Kathleen Jenne and Rebecca McClain were instrumental in applying for the grant, which will aid Van Buren with its STEM fair in the spring. MySchoolBucks to Increase Convenience Fee December 11: MySchoolBucks Increasing its Convenience Fee as of December 11 As of December 11, 2017, MySchoolBucks is increasing its convenience fee that parents pay from $1.95 per payment to $2.49 per payment. This fee increase is the result of an increase in the card scheme fee. Please note that the district does not receive any of this fee. District Tip Line to Anonymously Report Bullying & Other Situations: It is important to know that the District’s staff works to make our schools safe and caring places.
