Dear Parents, Guardians, and Staff,
I hope you have settled back into your regular routine after Spring Break. If you’ve been on our main campus this week, you have seen the progress at our new multi-purpose turf field. The project is moving along and looks fantastic. You can check out drone photos from our high school students on our social media pages.
I have a few announcements to share with you today:
Clue on Stage opens tonight
I’m looking forward to attending the opening night of Clue on Stage - High School Edition this evening. The show starts at 7 p.m. and there’s a second showing at 7 p.m. on Saturday night. Online tickets are available at www.bvilletheater.com. Tickets are no cost to the public. No online fees are assessed for free tickets.
Community Café:
Please join us for our next Community Café, which will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, April 29th at C.W. Baker High School in the cafeteria. The topic discussed will be Wellness for the Mind and Body. Guests will gather in small groups as we share ideas, perspectives and light refreshments. Registration is required. We hope you can join us as we explore questions that matter, build relationships and share our knowledge and ideas to help build, educate and empower our students!
Annual Budget Vote and Board Elections:
Baldwinsville Central School District residents will go to the polls on Tuesday, May 20th to vote on the proposed 2025-2026 school year budget, which maintains programs and staffing while continuing to work towards the district’s goals and mission. Voting will be open from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. and held at the District Operations Building, located on the main campus. Our budget newsletter will be arriving in the mailboxes of district residents soon. You can check out our budget website for more information and to download applications for absentee, military and early voter ballots. The Meet the Board of Education Candidates and Public Budget Hearing will be held at 6 p.m. on Monday, May 12th at the District Transportation Center. There are three board seats open for three-year terms. We have three incumbents who are running: Wayne Davison Jr, Thomas Bull and Sherry (Sam) Schraven.
Please continue to check ParentSquare, your email and our website at www.bville.org, for important updates. As always, please feel free to contact us with any questions you may have.
Have a great weekend! Go Bees!
Sincerely,
Dr. Joseph M. DeBarbieri
