Have a great summer!

Posted Date: 6/26/25 (2:13 PM)

Dear Parents, Guardians, and Staff,

Today is not just the last day of school, it’s the start of a well-deserved break and celebration of everything we’ve accomplished together in our Hive this school year. We’ve watched our Bees grow, learn, stumble and shine and now it’s time to pause, reflect and rest. You’ve earned it!

I want to take a moment to recognize the incredible efforts of our staff in keeping students safe, comfortable and even having some fun along the way – despite the record-breaking temperatures this week. I truly appreciate everyone's efforts as we navigated the challenges brought on by the heat wave. Thank you for your patience, flexibility and understanding.

I would also like to thank those in attendance at our Class of 2025 graduation ceremony on Saturday. We’ve selected the Expo Center as our venue for the past three years to shield our graduates and guests from unpredictable weather. The facility has provided a comfortable, air-conditioned environment in previous years, but unfortunately, this year a malfunction in the air conditioning system created an uncomfortable situation. Although the temperature in the venue was out of our control, we feel it is important to say that we are truly sorry for the discomfort it caused our graduates and guests. Despite the temperatures, the ceremony was an incredible celebration for our Class of 2025. I’m so proud of our graduates and excited to see what their future holds!

You can watch the recording of the ceremony on YouTube and check out our Facebook page to view hundreds of graduation photos. You can also check out the collection of legacy graduates we honored over the past few weeks and learn more about our Baker’s Dozen on Facebook!

Also, I wish to express my appreciation to our Public Information Specialist, Sarah Buckshot, for all of her hard work and commitment to highlighting all of our district’s student and staff accomplishments on our website and social media platforms throughout the school year. Her pictures and videos bring smiles and pride to members of our Baldwinsville community. Go Bees!

Watch our 2024-2025 highlight video of photos from across the district.

Report cards will be available in the Parent Portal on Friday, June 27th.

I will discontinue my weekly emails during July and August, but I will keep you posted as updates become available regarding the 2025-26 school year, completion of the access road at Ray Middle School, and other school construction project updates. Please feel free to contact your school or the district office over the summer with any questions, and check ParentSquare, your email and our website for more important updates.

Have a great summer break! I hope the next two months bring you and your family rest, joy, and time to recharge and make memories!  Go Bees!

Sincerely,

Dr. Joseph M. DeBarbieri
