Announcements for Friday, October 31, 2025
Dear Parents, Guardians, and Staff,
As we close out the month of October, I want to take a moment to thank you for your continued support and partnership during the first two months of the 2025–2026 school year. It’s hard to believe that the first marking period (Grades 6-12) ends next Friday.
For those celebrating Halloween this evening, I encourage everyone to use extra care as rain is expected in the forecast. Please remember to wear bright or reflective clothing and watch for wet leaves or slippery sidewalks.
Whether your plans include trick-or-treating, attending community events, or enjoying a cozy evening indoors, I hope your evening is filled with fun, laughter and special memories.
I have a few announcements to share with you today:

Digital Resources Survey:
The New York State Education Department is asking parents to complete a Digital Resources Survey (for each student in the family) in grades pre-kindergarten through 12. This survey will provide information on student access to devices and internet access in their places of residence. Visit ParentSquare for more information.
Marc Mero:
The District continues to stress that safety and mental wellness are a priority for our students and community. The Mental Wellness Committee has arranged for Champion of Choices speaker Marc Mero to visit Ray Middle School and Durgee Junior High School.
Marc Mero is a family and youth advocate whose mission is to empower youth to make positive choices. He uses his own personal experiences and story to inspire students by integrating themes of the prevention of bullying, substance use, and suicide prevention, with a focus on goal setting and the value of relationships.
Presentations are scheduled for Ray Middle School (7th grade only) and Durgee Junior High School students on Wednesday, November 5, 2025. A family/community presentation will be held that same evening at 6:00 p.m. at Durgee. We invite all Baldwinsville families to hear this presentation in our efforts to partner with you to best support all students.
