|District Seeking Budget Committee Volunteers
The Baldwinsville Central School District is beginning the development process for its 2018-2019 budget and is seeking community input through budget advisory committees. The District is looking for volunteers to serve on these committees to review specific areas of the budget and to provide input on the budget components as well as recommendations for cost savings prior to the budget components being presented to the Board of Education for review. The week of October 9 is Homecoming Week, and we've designated Friday, October 13, as Wear Red Day to demonstrate school spirit. All students, staff and community members are encouraged to wear B'ville red or B'ville related apparel to show school spirit and to celebrate our athletic teams.
Former Varsity Lacrosse Coach to be Inducted into Hall of Fame
Former boys varsity lacrosse coach Peter Fiorini will be inducted into the 2017 Hall of Fame of the Upstate New York Chapter of US Lacrosse on October 22. Fiorni coached Baldwinsville lacrosse for a total of 40 years - 36 years as varsity coach, one year as JV coach, and three years as modified coach.
Durgee Jr. High to Present Disney's Little Mermaid Jr.
Durgee Junior High School is gearing up for its fall musical, Disney's Little Mermaid, Jr. The school will present the musical on November 17 & 18 at 7 p.m. in the Baker High School auditorium. Tickets go on sale on October 16 and can be reserved by calling the box office at 315-638-6039. Tickets are $8, $10 and $12. All senior citizen tickets are $8.

Helping Your Child Thrive: A Mini-Conference for
All district parents are invited to attend the "Helping Your Child Thrive: A health & wellness mini-conference" on Wednesday, October 18 at
6:00 p.m. in the Baker High School auditorium. FREE babysitting will be offered
Julie Smith, a nationally recognized expert on safety in a digital environment, will provide the keynote. Afterwards, parents will select two breakout sessions to attend from a wide variety of topics including dealing with concussions, nutrition for athletes, and parenting a child with anxiety. Advance registration is required.
