District Campus On Temporary Lock Out Today

At approximately 2:21 PM this afternoon we were informed by the police that that there was a police pursuit of a car which came onto the main campus. There were two occupants that fled the car into the woods on the main campus.

Due to the uncertain nature of the event, the superintendent ordered all the main campus buildings to go into lock out and  instructed the buses to leave campus. The buses were staged off campus awaiting clearance from the police. At that time, we informed parents by School Messenger that their students would  be arriving late from school as a result of this incident.

As of 2:40 PM, the police informed the superintendent that they had both occupants of the vehicle in custody. The lock out was then released and the buses started the process of afternoon pickup of the students. The parents are being notified that the situation has been resolved and that the children will be on their way home with a short delay.

The elementary schools will also be delayed in coming home.
