Baker High School Business Club Makes Generous Donation to Local Charity

On Thursday, June 20th, Baldwinsville senior Luc Jerome, and Baker business teachers Mrs. Titus and Mr. Pluff, ventured to the Ronald McDonald House of Central New York on East Genesee Street in Syracuse. The purpose of this trip was to present the House with a donation. The Ronald McDonald House was chosen as a result of Luc’s past experience with the organization. “Having been around the Ronald McDonald House for the past three years as a Youth Advisory Board member, I came to realize how special it was to be part of such a great organization. Knowing how those involved were so passionate about sustaining the positive effect that the House has on our community, I felt it would be a great idea for our club to contribute to their mission.” These funds were a portion of the amount raised by members of the club through this years Krispy Kreme doughnut fundraiser. This year, the club also learned the tricks of the trade through participating in a stock market simulator, gained knowledge in business ethics, and even took a field trip to the Carrier Dome and Skyzone.
