Reynolds Elementary ~ Principal's Message

Melissa Chiodo, Principal
January 2018

Dear Reynolds Families,

December was an extremely exciting time for all of us at Reynolds! On December 15, 2017, students attended the first school wide assembly to learn more about the #OtherPeopleMatter mindset and to celebrate our partnership with the Positivity Project.

The mission of the Positivity Project is to empower students to build strong relationships - by understanding, appreciating, and living out the 24 character strengths in us all.
  • Over the course of the year, students will learn to understand and appreciate the 24 character strengths that are in all of us.
  • Every 1-2 weeks students will learn about a different character strength.
  • This knowledge will help students build strong relationships with other people.

As part of our partnership with the Positivity Project, students will begin this month by learning about #perserverance. Please get involved by discussing the weekly traits with your students at home.

A few reminders for the month of January:
Winter visited us a little earlier this year and the colder weather continues to approach. As I watched our students coming in with their hats and gloves on, I wanted to remind all of you to make sure you label their outdoor clothing so everything gets back home to their orignial owners, and please dress your children ready for outdoor playtime each day.

I wish all of you a very happy and healthy new year ahead.

Happy New Year!
Melissa Chiodo, Principal
