March is National Nutrition Month: Eat Right Bite By Bite

By Lindsey LaDue, RD, CDN
School Dietitian, OCM BOCES

We make a lot of food decisions on a daily basis! Choose foods that make you feel your best.

Remember that these can also include treats in moderation.

Many dietitians share the philosophy of “all foods fit!” Aim to include all five food groups throughout the day, avoid skipping meals, and fuel your body to have the energy, vitamins, and minerals it needs to thrive. Each item has a purpose and our food choices shouldn’t stress us out.

Be kind to yourself and others and do the best you can with each bite.  We offer a wide variety of items for school lunch each day, including grains, vegetables, fruits, protein sources and milk.  Try a bite of something new next time you visit the line!
