Acting Superintendent's announcements for January 6, 2023

January 6, 2023

Dear Parents, Guardians and Staff,

I hope everyone had a wonderful break and has settled back into your routines. School breaks are great for rest, relaxation and spending time with loved ones, but it is also very nice to have everyone back in our schools!

I have a few quick announcements to share with you today:

Lunch & Learn:

If you missed our Virtual Lunch & Learn on Thursday, you can watch the video now on our website. I was joined by Assistant Superintendent for Management Services Kimberly Vile, Business Official Tiffany Turner, Chief Operation Officer Rick Foederer and Transportation Supervisor Michael Tierney. We discussed updates from our Transportation Department, the General Fund Budget process and our proposed Capital Project.

Senior High All-County:

Congratulations to the student-musicians who were selected to participate in the Onondaga County Senior High All-County Festival, which will be held at Cicero-North Syracuse High School today and tomorrow. See the list of musicians on our website. Great job, Bees!

Great Season:

Congratulations to all of our Winter I modified athletes on a great season. The Winter II modified season starts on Monday! Go Bees!

Please feel free to contact us with any questions you may have and regularly check our website for important updates. Have a great weekend.

Sincerely,

Joseph M. DeBarbieri, Acting Superintendent of Schools
