Announcements for Friday, May 19, 2023

May 19, 2023

Dear Parents, Guardians and Staff:

Thank you to the voters for approving our 2023-2024 general fund budget and additional propositions this week. We appreciate the support for our students, staff and projects. The budget and additional propositions presented to voters on Tuesday represent purchases, programs and upgrades designed to serve our students for many years to come.

We would also like to thank all of our candidates who ran for the Board of Education. Congratulations to Victor Jenkins, Andrew Henty, Luke Gasowski and Donald Miller. Mr. Jenkins’ 3-year term and Mr. Miller’s 1-year term began immediately. Mr. Henty and Mr. Gasowski will join the board on July 1st. We look forward to working with you.

We have a few announcements to share with you today:

Special Champions:

We had the honor of cheering on our athletes in our Special Champions event on Monday. It was amazing to be part of the day. The students had such a great time. We loved seeing all the smiling faces as they crossed the finish line and collected their ribbons. Thank you to our staff who made the event a success and thank you to the families who came out to cheer on our champions. Check out our Facebook page to see photos.

The goal of the plan is to provide focus and direction for the district, individual school buildings, staff members and students. Our strategic priorities, which are values and strategies that guide us to achieve our goals, are to build, educate and empower. Review our plan and learn more HERE. The public comment period will be open until June 18, 2023. To make a comment, please email Public Information Specialist Sarah Buckshot at sbuckshot@bville.org
