Thank you for your service, Tanya Rosado-Barringer and Shelly Bligh Goeckel

December 4, 2023

Thank you to outgoing board members Mrs. Shelly Bligh Goeckel and Mrs. Tanya Rosado-Barringer for your service to our district. Mrs. Goeckel and Mrs. Rosado-Barringer resigned from the BCSD Board of Education during the School Board meeting on December 4, 2023 due to personal reasons.

Superintendent Dr. Joseph M. DeBarbieri thanked them both for their service to the district and their commitment to the students and community. He acknowledged the time they both spent away from their families to serve in this volunteer position.

Dr. DeBarbieri said the following to Mrs. Rosado-Barringer:

“On behalf of the Leadership Team and the Board of Education, we extend appreciation to you as an outgoing board of education member. Your dedication and service to our board, our students, our staff and administrators is greatly appreciated. Many of you may know that Tanya is an advocate for all students. Her support of our district’s team - our teachers, administrators and support staff members - has helped us shape our district's current strategic plan. Her contributions to that are immense.”

Dr. DeBarbieri said the following to Mrs. Goeckel:

“You started off as a district PTA member and worked your way onto the board and were elected in May of 2021 and served from July 2021 to the present. Similar to the statements I made with Tanya, we can’t thank you enough for your service. I know you’ll certainly enjoy spending a little more time away from all of this with your husband and two children. On behalf of the district, we thank you for everything and contributions.”
