• The Baldwinsville School District utilizes an On-Line Employment Application. You will be required to register and create a user name and password to access this feature. Job postings are also listed on this online feature.

• Teaching Assistants are required to be certified as a Teaching Assistant or as a Teacher. Teaching Assistant Certification requires completion of college coursework, multi-skills assessment test, 2 workshops listed below.

• Many of our non-instructional positions are classifed by NYS Civil Service Law. Competitive positions (clerical, custodian, accounting) may require testing to determine merit and ability. A link is provided below to visit their website (ongov.net)

Effective July 1, 2001, the Schools Against Violence in Education (SAVE) Legislation requires that “Prospective School Employees” submit to a fingerprint supported criminal history background check and be cleared by the New York State Education Department for employment in school districts. A “Prospective School Employee” is defined as any compensated individual who will be placed in a school and who will reasonably be expected by the school to provide direct contact (i.e. in person, face-to face communication or interaction) with students under the age of 21.
If you are offered a position, which meets the definition of “Prospective School Employee”, you will be required to submit to a fingerprint supported criminal background check prior to commencing employment. There is a $91.50 processing fee for the fingerprint background check. Additional information will be provided to you at the time of the employment offer.
