• The Baldwinsville School District utilizes an On-Line Employment Application. click on the link (above, left corner) entitled “Online Employment Application and Job Postings”.  From the District’s job applicant manager system, you will need to click New?; Sign Up.  Complete the required information and select Register.  After you have registered, view the Job Postings section and apply to the one (or more) of  the postings that you are interested in.  Once you apply, the employment application will open and you will need to complete the sections in their entirety in order to be considered “Qualified” or “Meet District Requirement”.
In addition to completing an employment application and applying to the job posting, you will be required to provide other documentation.  If you have the capability to upload documents into the Attachments section, please do so.  All applicants should indicate “Allow Human Resources staff access to your employment application”.   This permits our staff to upload any documents received into your Attachments section on your behalf.
Please provide the names, addresses and telephone numbers of individuals who can attest to your skills and abilities for the profession that you are seeking.  There is am Employment Reference Form available at the bottom of the Human Resources page that you are expected to secure from the individuals referenced in your employment application.

• Teaching Assistants are required to be certified as a Teaching Assistant or as a Teacher. Teaching Assistant Certification requires completion of college coursework, multi-skills assessment test, 2 workshops listed below.
• Other Teaching Assistant Requirements - Completion of Child Abuse Workshop and School Violence Prevention Workshop (see links below)
• Many of our non-instructional positions are classifed by NYS Civil Service Law. Competitive positions (clerical, custodian, accounting) may require testing to determine merit and ability. A link is provided below to visit their website (ongov.net)

Effective July 1, 2001, the Schools Against Violence in Education (SAVE) Legislation requires that “Prospective School Employees” submit to a fingerprint supported criminal history background check and be cleared by the New York State Education Department for employment in school districts. A “Prospective School Employee” is defined as any compensated individual who will be placed in a school and who will reasonably be expected by the school to provide direct contact (i.e. in person, face-to face communication or interaction) with students under the age of 21.
If you are offered a position, which meets the definition of “Prospective School Employee”, you will be required to submit to a fingerprint supported criminal background check prior to commencing employment.  Additional information will be provided to you at the time of the employment offer.
