Health Education Teacher:

School Nurse (RN) (.50 FTE):
Applications are being accepted for a part-time school nurse at C.W. Baker High School. Applicants must enjoy working with children of all ages. Applicants must meet all qualifications with Onondaga County, which includes holding a valid NYS license as a Registered Nurse and CPR/Adult & Pediatric AED certification. Diesel Mechanic – Applicants should have experience in all aspects of diesel engine repair including electrical, diagnostics, brake systems, emissions, and general trouble shooting. A clean valid NYS driver’s license and ability to obtain CDL for bus driver license. Knowledge of DOT regulations for school buses is preferred. Minimum qualifications include: a)Associate’s degree in Automotive Technology; or, b) two (2) years of work experience, or its part-time equivalent, in the repair and maintenance of automotive equipment, specifically diesel engines; or, c) completion of a two (2) year vocational education program majoring in Automotive Technology and one (1) year of work experience. Teacher Aide - Applicants will perform routine tasks with study halls, cafeteria monitoring and general clerical work, as assigned by the principal. Position is Monday – Friday (7.25 hours per day), 7:35 a.m. to 2:50 p.m, 10 months per year. Complete the on-line application. Deadline November 8, 2017.
Substitute School Bus Driver:
Applicants must be at least 21 years of age and possess a clean, valid driver’s license. CDL preferred, but not required. Substitute Teaching and Home Instructors -
School Psychologist Long Term Substitute - Grade K-5 commencing mid-April 2018, through June 2018.
Home Instructors - Assignments are temporary and required for students unable to attend school because of a short-term disability or discipline. Valid NYS teaching certificated individuals required. Elementary school students on home bound instruction must receive at least 5 hours of instruction per week; secondary school students 10 hours per week. To the extent possible, homebound instruction should be staggered proportionately throughout the week. Rate of pay is $43.75 per hour.
