2 Durgee students to compete in The Post-Standard |WCNY Spelling Bee

Durgee eighth graders Dan Fenzl and Liam Carver will be moving on to the oral round of The Post-Standard | WCNY spelling bee. 

Dan and Liam were among the top 35 of spellers at the regional written spelling bee on Saturday. Twenty-seven Baldwinsville students took the written test. 

Dan and Liam will compete in the oral spelling bee on Feb. 29, 2020. The oral spelling bee will be televised on WCNY.

The winner of the oral round will win a trip to Washington, D.C., to compete in the Scripps National Spelling Bee, which will be held May 24 to 29.
