Grindle Named National Merit Finalist

Thomas Grindle, a senior at Baker High School, has been named a finalist in the National Merit Scholarship Competition. His standing in the competition is based on his score on last year’s PSAT.  Scholarship winners will be announced later this month.

 

Baldwinsville Robotics Team Headed to World Championships

A Baldwinsville robotics team has qualified for the world championships while another team won the Judges Award at the Northern New York State VEX High School Championships held at Onondaga Community College on March 2, 2019. READ MORE
 
 

Board of Ed Approves 2019-2020 Calendar

At its March 4, 2019 meeting, the Board of Education approved the district's annual calendar for the 2019-2020 school year. You can view it HERE.
 

Guests Travel Around the World at Baker Culture Festival

On February 28, Baker High School hosted its first culture festival. Students, parents and teachers were involved with the festival, which featured the foods, traditions, music and clothing of over 20 different cultures. Countries represented included Canada, Turkey, Ireland, Guatemala, and Korea. READ MORE
 

 

Thank you, Kiwanis Club!

At the March 4, 2019 Board of Education meeting, representatives from the Baldwinsville Kiwanis Club presented the district with a donation of $3,500 dollars to be used for the district’s Get Ready for Kindergarten program. Thank you, Kiwanis Club!

Board of Education Meeting Update

March 4, 2019

The Baldwinsville indoor drumline opened the meeting with a performance.

The Board approved the consent agenda and then reviewed the proposed Facilities budget for 2019-2020 as well as the annual fire safety inspection report.

Jamie Rodems, Assistant Superintendent for Management Services, reported on the capital project progress. A discussion of the state tax cap followed.

Deputy Superintendent Joseph DeBarbieri presented the proposed 2019-2020 budget for instruction, and Technology Director RJ DeLisle presented the proposed technology budget.

New business included an approval of a trip request, approval of the 2019-2020 calendar, and acceptance of a donation from the Baldwinsville Kiwanis Club.
