Acting Superintendent DeBarbieri says thank you and welcomes Dr. Davis

Dear Parents, Guardians and Staff, 

I’m writing to you today to say thank you for the support I have received while serving as your Acting Superintendent since mid-October. Tomorrow we will welcome a new Acting Superintendent, Dr. Kathleen Davis. 

Dr. Davis has 41 years of experience in education serving as a coach, teacher, building administrator and Superintendent of Schools. She retired in 2016 after serving as the Superintendent of Holland Patent schools for 15 ½ years. Dr. Davis has been doing interim work since 2017. 

Dr. Davis began meeting with administrators last week to prepare for her first day. She is excited to serve our district and community, and I am looking forward to working with her to continue providing the highest quality education, opportunities and support for our students and staff. 

I would personally like to take this opportunity to thank our teachers, staff, and Board of Education for their support and efforts while we navigated our district through difficult times in the past few months. Thank you to all of our families for supporting our efforts as a district and for supporting me while I served as your Acting Superintendent. Tomorrow, I will continue my work as the Deputy Superintendent. Go Bees!
