April 5, 2024

Baldwinsville Central School District is pleased to announce that Joelle Fiorini was appointed by the Board of Education as the new principal of Elden Elementary School. Her official start date is July 1, 2024.

“We are excited to welcome Joelle back to Baldwinsville as the Elden Elementary School principal,” said Superintendent Dr. Joseph DeBarbieri. "Her roots are in Baldwinsville. She's committed to our district and our values."

Elden Principal Thomas Coughlin announced his retirement in February.

Joelle started working for the Baldwinsville Central School District in 2010. She served as a teacher at Palmer Elementary School for two years and taught 6th grade at Ray Middle School for nine years. She was an administrative intern at Elden and Ray during the 2021-2022 school year. Joelle has served as the associate principal at Roxboro Road Middle School in the North Syracuse Central School District since July 2022.

“Having grown up in Baldwinsville and graduated from C.W Baker High School, I have a deep connection to the community and its educational institutions,” Fiorini said.

Fiorini resides in Baldwinsville with her husband and their three children, who are actively engaged in the district's schools.

“Returning to Baldwinsville as principal of Elden Elementary is a dream come true,” said Fiorini. “I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to give back to the community that has played such a significant role in her life and career.”
