District Proposes Capital Safety Project - Vote Set for May 15For years, the district has set aside part of its capital spending for security. Some of the security-oriented work and activities we have done over the last ten years include:Installation of 250 video cameras on property in and around all district buildings; A new secure main entrance at Baker High School, a new, more secure entrance at Ray Middle School and a secured main entrance at Durgee Junior High School; Electronic door access control at all school buildings. The district is proposing a capital project for safety improvements. The project will be presented to the community as a proposition on the budget vote ballot on May 15. READ more on the Capital Project Schedule for ELA Assessments for Grades 3-8The district will administer the state ELA assessments to students in grades 3-8 on the following dates: Grades 3 & 8: Tuesday & Wednesday, April 10 & 11 Per the New York State Education Department’s requirement, all tests will be computer based. Paper-based tests will no longer be used. All students who utilize accommodations for testing will still receive these accommodations. BCSF Phone-a-thon Scheduled for March 11Phones will be ringing in the Baldwinsville area this Sunday evening, March 11, when more than 100 Baker High School students will call residents during the annual Baldwinsville Community Scholarship Foundation's (BCSF) Dollars for Scholars Phone-a-thon, scheduled for 5 – 8 p.m. The BCSF awards more than $100,000 to Baldwinsville high school seniors due to the support and generosity of the Baldwinsville community. |
